Klyp — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

Klyp (klyp-app.com) is a library of tiny social apps you play and remix with friends. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect and why.

What we collect

To play: a random device identifier (a cookie) so your streaks and scores work, the display name and class/section you choose to show on boards, and gameplay events (which apps you play, scores, shares). You can play without giving us your real name.

To create (the Studio):your phone number — used only to verify it's you (via an SMS code or a WhatsApp message you send us) and to keep your creations tied to your account. If you log in by messaging our WhatsApp number, we receive that message and your number, as any WhatsApp recipient would.

How we use it

Login and security, making the product work (boards, streaks, your published apps), and understanding what to improve. We send verification messages, and service messages related to things you do (like a login confirmation). We don't sell your data, and we don't send marketing messages without asking first.

Who helps us run Klyp

Infrastructure providers process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Twilio (SMS verification), Meta/WhatsApp (WhatsApp messages), and Google/Anthropic (the AI that builds apps from your ideas — your idea text is sent to them to generate the app). None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

Your choices

You can change your display name and @handle anytime. To delete your account and data (your creations, your play history, your number), message us and we'll do it within 30 days.
