How to play
- Tap once to start. The screen goes red and tells you to wait.
- Green arrives after a random delay, so there is no rhythm to learn.
- Tap the instant it turns green. Your time shows in milliseconds, and lower is faster.
- The trick: rest your thumb on the glass rather than holding it above the screen. Tapping early is a false start, so nothing gets recorded and you simply go again.
When to play this
Reaction Rush settles arguments. Someone says they have quick hands, you pass the phone, and ten seconds later there is a number. It also works in a loud room, because nothing about it depends on sound.
Questions people ask
What is a good reaction time?Under 350 ms is quick. Under 250 ms is rare, and the game calls that one inhuman.
Does tapping early count against me?No. A tap before green is a false start. Nothing is recorded and the round restarts.
Is a lower or higher score better?Lower. The score is how many milliseconds you took, so smaller is faster.
Do I need to download anything?No. It runs in your browser, on any phone.
